1) All players must be registered with USA Volleyball to tryout for any club. PRIOR to attending tryouts.

Do I need to attend both tryout dates?
No, however it is preferred. It is really important to attend the first day of tryouts, as offers are given starting on day one.
What if my daughter does not receive an offer on the first day?
Come back the next day. Club is very competitive and sometimes it takes two days for a coach to see a player.
If I decide this is not a good fit for my daughter are there refunds? No. Unfortunately, because tryouts are over and most players have joined a club, it is not possible to replace a player. If there is a serious issue please speak with the club director.

What do fees cover?
Fees cover tournament fees, coaches salaries, gym rental, insurance, equipment and back office costs.

Yes. We accept all credit cards but must add on a 3.75% convenience fee.
How do players get to tournaments?
Families are responsible for getting their daughters to events. Players and families frequently carpool and share travel duties.

When are practices?
Right after tryouts are completed, we publish our practice schedule. Practices tend to be held Monday & Wednesday's. The younger teams usually start at 6:00. We make every effort to publish a consistent practice schedule.
How do you get involved?
Every player must try out. Tryouts are Saturday, July 15th and Monday, July 17th. Players are chosen on the basis of a variety of attributes including athletic ability and attitude. It is highly recommended to be at both try out dates. If you can only go to one, definitely attend July 15th but do try to attend both. If you can only come July 17th- definitely come. Many offers will be given out on Saturday. Last year with the exception of a few spots, everything was filled on the tryout weekend.

Do all players play equally?
No. While every player gets an opportunity to play at each tournament, the specific amount of playing time is at the coach's discretion and will not be equal for all players. Players earn playing time through game situations and practice. Every player gets the same opportunity to earn playing time in practices.
How many players are on a team?
10-12 girls but usually 10.
How can parents get involved?
Stateline is a small non-profit organization, and we welcome help with fundraising and uniform distribution, but parents cannot be involved in helping with practices.
Can my daughter play other sports at the same time they play volleyball?
We support all of the players endeavors, but they must be able to commit to their volleyball team. This is a team sport and without every team member being at all practices and tournaments it hurts the entire team.
What if my daughter gets an offer but is not sure because she wants to try out for other clubs?
If your daughter receives an offer we ask that you give us an update before you leave from tryouts. offer. With a 350.00 non-refundable deposit you can have an additional 24 hours to decide. After that 24-hour period without a decision we will move on to the next player on the wait list.
